Elevated particulate levels from wildfire smoke As of 7AM on 08/10/2026, particulate levels in Columbia Falls, Frenchtown, Libby and Missoula are Unhealthy. About
Mill Creek Campground is a small, rustic campground nestled in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest near Sheridan, Montana. With 10 designated campsites, the campground offers a quiet retreat for tent campers and those with smaller trailers up to 22 feet in length. Each site features fire rings with grates and picnic tables. The campground operates seasonally from late May through late September, weather dependent. A mandatory food storage order is in effect from March 1 through December 1 due to bear activity in the area. Campers must pack out all trash as no refuse collection is provided. The 16-day stay limit allows for extended visits while ensuring site availability for others. Access is straightforward via Mill Creek Road, which departs from the center of Sheridan. Look for the Forest Service access sign. The Madison Ranger District manages this campground and can provide current conditions and additional information.
