Manatee Springs State Park Campground

Open

Open year-round. A burn ban is currently in effect, prohibiting campfires and use of fire rings. The waterfront restroom and dump station are temporarily closed. Hot showers and flush toilets remain available at all three camping loops.

About

Manatee Springs State Park Campground sits along the Suwannee River in Levy County, providing direct access to a crystal-clear first-magnitude spring that pumps 100 million gallons daily. The campground's 80 sites are distributed across three loops: Magnolia 1 (40 sites), Magnolia 2, and Hickory. Each loop has its own bathhouse with hot showers, flush toilets, and laundry facilities. All sites include water and electric hookups (30/50 amp), a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Some sites in Magnolia 1 offer full hookups with sewer connections. The park accommodates RVs up to 40 feet in length. Sites 2, 15, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 35, and 40 in Magnolia 1 are designated tent-only. ADA-accessible restrooms are located in the Magnolia 1 and Hickory loops, with an additional accessible restroom near the waterfront. From November through March, West Indian manatees migrate up the Suwannee River and congregate in the spring run, making winter visits especially rewarding. The park features swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving in the spring (certification required for cavern diving), plus 8.5 miles of trails for hiking and biking. Kayaking and canoeing are popular on the spring run and river.
