About

Located along Marsh Creek in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lola Creek Campground offers 21 first-come, first-served campsites at an elevation of 6,600 feet. The campground is situated approximately 17 miles northwest of Stanley, Idaho, providing convenient access to some of the most remote wilderness areas in Idaho. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with cooking grill. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding wilderness. The Marsh Creek Trailhead offers access to the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, with trails leading to the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. The Lola Lakes trailhead is also nearby, offering hiking opportunities into alpine terrain. The area is popular for fishing in Marsh Creek and provides stall facilities for horse camping and stock loading at the trailhead. Lola Creek Campground accommodates trailers and motorhomes up to 35 feet in length, though there are no hookups available. The campground provides vault toilets and trash removal services, though water availability may be limited. The maximum stay is 14 consecutive days, and the campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations.

Directions

From Stanley, travel 17 miles northwest on Highway 21, then turn north on Forest Road 203. Go 1/10th mile and bear left onto Forest Road 083 and drive 1 mile to the campground.
