About

Curlew Lake State Park is a 123-acre camping park located on the eastern shore of Curlew Lake, five miles northeast of Republic in Ferry County, Washington. This jewel of a park offers a peaceful retreat with green lawns, shade trees, and stunning lake vistas framed by pine-covered hills. The campground features over 80 sites including standard, partial hookup, and full hookup options, with six pull-through sites accommodating RVs up to 45 feet. Sites 73-80 provide access to a no-fee mooring dock along with ADA-accessible restrooms and showers. The park is a popular destination for water sports and fishing enthusiasts. Anglers can catch trout, bass, yellow perch, and the challenging tiger muskie. A no-fee boat ramp and 80-foot dock provide easy water access, while a designated swimming area offers a place to cool off during summer. Two miles of hiking and biking trails wind through the park, making it an excellent base for bicycle touring groups. Wildlife viewing is exceptional at Curlew Lake, with bald eagles, ospreys, and herons frequently seen fishing in the lake. An active heron rookery with visible nests can be observed from the park. The area also offers access to the Ferry County Rail Trail and is near several local attractions, including a public fossil dig eight miles away and Ranald MacDonald's Grave State Park Heritage Site. In winter, when conditions permit, ice fishing becomes a popular activity on the frozen lake.
