About

Lakeview Dispersed Campground is located in the Mendocino National Forest within the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. This is a primitive dispersed camping area with no developed facilities or services. The site features six fire rings and ten picnic tables for visitor use, but all other amenities must be provided by campers themselves. As a dispersed camping area, there are no restrooms, potable water, trash collection, or host services. Visitors must pack out all trash and practice Leave No Trace principles. A spring-fed stream with a pipe is located approximately 2.6 miles east of the campground along the access road for those who can properly filter or treat water. The campground is accessible to those seeking a true primitive camping experience in the national forest. The area is not maintained during winter months, and access may be limited depending on weather conditions. Dispersed camping regulations apply, including staying at least 200 feet from water sources and trails. The Forest Service operates this site as first-come, first-served with no reservations.
