About

The Cabin Colony at Clear Lake State Park provides a comfortable lakeside retreat on the shores of California's oldest and largest natural freshwater lake. Eight cabins sit just feet from the water, offering easy access to swimming, boating, and fishing. Each cabin accommodates up to four people and includes electricity with heater/air conditioning, lights, ceiling fan, indoor storage cupboard with counter space, and a fixed table with two benches. Outside, each cabin has a dedicated barbecue, fire pit, and picnic bench. Guests should note that cabins do not include refrigerators, and no cooking or open flames are permitted inside. Each cabin has one full-size bunk bed, but guests must bring their own mattress pads, linens, and bedding. Restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers are located nearby. The park offers a camp store, drinking water, swim beach with shade ramadas, boat launch, and several hiking trails including the accessible Kelsey Creek Trail with 1,500 feet of boardwalk. Two cabins (#3 and #4) are fully ADA accessible with accessible parking, routes, and nearby accessible restrooms with showers. The Visitor Center features exhibits on the lake's natural and cultural history and is open Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.

Directions

The entrance to the park is 3.5 miles northeast of Kelseyville on Soda Bay Road, north of Calistoga in the wine country.
