About

Lake Wappapello State Park offers two picnic shelters designed for day-use gatherings and special events in the scenic surroundings of southeastern Missouri. Shelter 1, located in the upper day-use area, can accommodate up to 75 people and is equipped with electrical outlets, water access, picnic tables, an outdoor grill, and restrooms nearby. Shelter 2, situated at Allison Cove, accommodates up to 50 people and features water access, picnic tables, an outdoor grill, and nearby restrooms, though it does not have electricity. Both shelters are accessible to people with disabilities and are available for first-come, first-served use when not reserved. Shelters can be reserved online from 30 days to 12 months in advance through the Missouri State Parks reservation system, with Shelter 1 costing $50 per day and Shelter 2 costing $35 per day. For reservations less than 30 days out, contact the park directly. Children's playgrounds are conveniently located at the Allison Point Day-Use Area and near Shelter 1, making these ideal venues for family gatherings and outdoor celebrations.

Lake Wappapello State Park is located at 8005 Highway 172, Williamsville, MO 63967. From St. Louis, take I-55 south to Highway 67 south to Greenville, then continue south about 1 mile and look for signs. From Poplar Bluff, take Highway 60 east to Highway T, then take Highway T north and look for signs.
