Lake Delancy West Campground sits within a pine forest on the western shore of Lake Delancy in Ocala National Forest, Florida. It serves as the primary access point for the Ocala North OHV Trail System, with on-site corrals and staging areas for off-highway vehicles. The campground also functions as a trailhead for the Florida Trail, making it suitable for both motorized recreation and backcountry hiking. The campground offers 120 sites total. Sites 1-13 are designated tent and small trailer sites with fire rings, picnic tables, and lantern poles. Sites 14-120 are dispersed camping areas on the middle island. Basic amenities include vault toilets, but potable water is not available on-site. Black bears frequent this area, and all campers are required to store food in bear-proof containers or inside vehicles. The campground is located in close proximity to lakeshore marshes that provide fishing access. Pets are allowed on leashes no longer than six feet.
