Lake Corpus Christi State Park
Open year-round. Nature Center renovations are underway through September 2026 with daytime construction noise in the day-use, shelter, cabin, and water/electric camping loop areas. The CCC road bridge is closed for repairs, preventing completion of the Lakeshore Trail loop. The boat ramp is closed due to low lake levels, though shore launching is available.

About
Lake Corpus Christi State Park occupies 365 acres along the Nueces River reservoir in San Patricio County, roughly 35 miles northwest of Corpus Christi. The park was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and features distinctive CCC-era stone architecture. The 21,000-acre lake offers excellent fishing for largemouth bass, catfish, and white bass, accessible from two lighted piers or personal watercraft. Camping is spread across multiple loops. The Javelina area holds 26 full-hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. The Opossum Bend loop has 23 water/electric sites. Catfish Cove and Mesquite areas provide 59 water-only sites for tenters and smaller rigs. All campsites include a picnic table and fire ring with grill, and restrooms with showers serve each camping area. Beyond camping, visitors can explore hiking trails through thornscrub habitat, swim at the designated beach, or borrow the park's free all-terrain wheelchair to access the shoreline and fishing pier. A park store stocks basic supplies. The park frequently reaches capacity on weekends and holidays, so advance reservations through Texas State Parks are recommended.
