About
Lake Casa Blanca International State Park occupies the shores of a 1,650-acre reservoir in Webb County, providing an oasis of recreation in the semi-arid South Texas plains just outside Laredo. The park draws visitors for its fishing (bass, catfish, and crappie are common catches), boating access via a multi-lane ramp, and a designated swim beach. Mountain biking and hiking trails wind through the native brush country, where birders may spot species ranging from green jays to roadrunners. The campground contains 66 developed sites divided between two configurations: 55 sites with water and 30-amp electric hookups at $18 per night, and 11 full hookup sites adding sewer connections at $21 per night. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and lantern post, with restrooms and showers located nearby. The park is popular with locals and travelers alike, so reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends and holidays. Day-use visitors can enjoy sports courts, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, and group halls accommodating up to 200 people.
