About

Kit Price Campground overlooks the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River in the Coeur d'Alene Mountains of Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Located at 2,550 feet elevation, the campground offers 56 campsites arranged in three loops (A, B, and C) in a meadow-like setting with full to partial sun exposure. The campground underwent a complete renovation in 2021, including new tables, fire rings, paved parking spurs, and infrastructure improvements. The North Fork Coeur d'Alene River provides excellent recreational opportunities including tubing, swimming, kayaking, and catch-and-release fishing for cutthroat trout. Rafters enjoy floating downstream to experience class I-III rapids. The campground offers accessible vault toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, and grills at each site. Ten pull-through sites accommodate larger RVs, with a maximum length of 45 feet. Wildlife in the region includes mule deer, moose, osprey, and calliope hummingbirds. Bears frequent the area, so proper food storage is required. The campground is located about 65 miles east of Coeur d'Alene Lake and is accessible via paved forest roads. A 14-day stay limit during any 30-day period is strictly enforced. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov.
