About

Berlin Flats Group Area sits among lodgepole and mixed conifers along Shoshone Creek, near the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River in Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Originally comprised of nine single-family sites, it now functions as a single group reservation accommodating up to 75 people at an elevation of 2,600 feet. The campground provides vault toilets and welcomes both tent camping and RV/trailer use. Potable water is not available on-site; campers must bring their own supply. The nearby river offers excellent recreation including catch-and-release cutthroat trout fishing, rafting, swimming, and kayaking. Wildlife watchers may spot mule deer, moose, osprey, and calliope hummingbirds. Bears frequent the area, and campers are required to secure all food in approved containers or locked vehicles. A 14-day stay limit is strictly enforced. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov and must be occupied by checkout time the day after the scheduled arrival date or become void without refund.
