About

Berlin Flats Group Area provides a perfect escape for large groups seeking a summer weekend getaway in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The campground sits among lodgepole and mixed pines along Shoshone Creek, near the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River, at an elevation of approximately 2,600 feet. Originally configured as 9 single-family sites, the area now operates as a single reservable group site accommodating up to 75 people. Visitors can tent camp or bring RVs and trailers. The nearby waterways offer excellent catch-and-release cutthroat trout fishing, along with rafting, swimming, and kayaking opportunities. Wildlife watchers may spot mule deer, moose, osprey, and calliope hummingbirds in the surrounding area. The campground is located about 70 miles from Coeur d'Alene Lake, accessed via Interstate 90 and Forest Roads through scenic mountain terrain.

Directions

From Coeur d'Alene, travel 28 miles east on Interstate 90 to the Kingston exit. Head 26 miles north on paved Forest Road 9, then 5 miles north from Prichard on paved Forest Road 208, then 9 miles north on Forest Road 412 (paved except for 2 miles).
