Forest Service Road 344 (Stewart Road) on the Enoree Ranger District will be temporarily closed due to construction on the road. The road will reopen by July 3.

About

Key Bridge Hunt Camp is a primitive camping area in the Long Cane Ranger District of Sumter National Forest in South Carolina, situated at the county line between Edgefield and McCormick counties. The camp serves as the midpoint access for the Turkey-Stevens Creek Canoe Trail, which features steep hardwood bluffs, floodplain forests, and small marshy areas along the southeastern portion of the ranger district. Primitive camping is allowed at Key Bridge with a permit from the Long Cane Ranger District. The area is popular with hunters during big game and turkey seasons, as well as paddlers using the Turkey-Stevens Canoe Trail segments between SC Highway 283 and Modoc Bridge. Directions

From McCormick, take SC 28/US 221 South to Plum Branch. Turn left onto SC 283, go approximately 3.5 miles, then turn right onto Key Road (SC 138). The site is approximately 4 miles on the right before the bridge.
