About

Kelty Meadow Campground offers a quiet, horse-friendly camping experience in the Sierra National Forest near Bass Lake. Situated at 3,400 feet alongside Kelty Creek, the campground is shaded by pine and cedar trees with 15 campsites spread across spacious, open terrain suitable for small horse trailers, slide-ins, tent trailers, or tents. Some sites feature hitching posts for equestrian use, though there are no corrals. Each campsite includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable drinking water; however, a stock water supply is accessible from the creek for horses. Visitors enjoy horseback riding on nearby logging and forest roads, and Bass Lake is a short drive away for swimming, boating, fishing, and hiking. The Shadow of the Giants National Recreation Trail, a 1-mile interpretive trail showcasing giant sequoias, is located just a few miles south of the campground.
