About
Located on Boggy Meadow adjacent to Big Creek, Fresno Dome Campground offers a peaceful mountain setting in Sierra National Forest. The campground serves as an ideal base for hiking the nearby Fresno Dome trail, which rewards visitors with spectacular views of the San Joaquin Valley and the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains. The campground features sites shaded by mature fir and pine trees, with each site equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Access to the campground is via a combination of paved and dirt roads. A campground host is on-site during the operating season to assist visitors. Trash disposal is available at the campground entrance. Fresno Dome Campground is located in the Bass Lake Ranger District and is accessible via Highway 41 north from Fresno through Oakhurst, then along Sky Ranch Road (Forest Road 10). The campground operates on a seasonal schedule and experiences light use compared to other Sierra National Forest campgrounds.
Directions
Take Highway 41 north from Fresno through Oakhurst to Sky Ranch Road (Forest Road 10). Travel 11.5 miles to a road fork and take the left fork toward Fresno Dome. Continue 1.7 miles and turn left to enter the campground.
