Katherine Landing Campground offers a prime location on Lake Mohave within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, combining desert scenery with direct access to world-class water recreation. The campground features 173 landscaped sites surrounded by Arizona's native trees, plants, and flowers. Each site includes a concrete picnic table and fire ring with cooking grill, providing comfortable base camp amenities for exploring the lake. The campground's location is its greatest asset, situated within walking distance of the full-service Katherine Landing Marina, a swim beach, dining options, and a fully stocked marina store. Modern facilities include restrooms, hot showers, and laundry services. Wi-fi access is available through Access Parks. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis year-round, making it accessible for spontaneous trips. Lake Mohave itself is a water sports paradise offering boating, fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass and stripers, kayaking, scuba diving, and swimming in secluded coves. The area also features ancient petroglyphs and historic mining sites for hikers to explore. Katherine Landing is the most popular destination on Lake Mohave, attracting over 1.2 million visitors annually. The low desert elevation means mild winters but extremely hot summers, with temperatures that can exceed 120 degrees in surrounding canyons.

Directions

From the Laughlin/Bullhead City bridge, take US Highway 95 north 1.5 miles, turn left onto Arizona Highway 68, travel 1 mile and turn right before the Davis Dam, then travel 3.5 miles to Katherine Landing. The campground is located 5 miles north of Bullhead City on the Arizona side of Lake Mohave.
