About

Jumbo Reservoir State Wildlife Area encompasses 1,703 acres surrounding a plains reservoir in northeastern Colorado's Sedgwick County, at an elevation of 3,700 to 3,750 feet. The area offers warm-water fishing for species stocked in the reservoir, along with hunting opportunities for deer, dove, pheasant, rabbit, and waterfowl. Camping is permitted in designated numbered sites with one camping unit allowed per campsite. Facilities are basic but functional, with restrooms available and fire containment structures in camping areas. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times except when actively hunting or if they are service animals. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and a maximum of 250 vehicles are permitted on the property at any given time. Boating is permitted when the ANS (Aquatic Nuisance Species) inspection station is open; vessels must remain at least 50 feet from the outlet structure. Hand-launched and hand-powered vessels are allowed for fishing and waterfowl hunting after the inspection station closes for the season.
