About

Jackpine Flats Campground offers a secluded, no-fee camping experience in the Kootenai National Forest of northwestern Montana. Situated 20 miles south of Trout Creek at 3,100 feet elevation, this primitive campground consists of a single campsite equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A vault toilet is the only facility provided. The campground is accessible year-round, though managed from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Winter and shoulder-season access depends on weather conditions and road clearance along Beaver Creek Road. Due to limited space for maneuvering, the site is best suited for tent camping or small pop-up trailers rather than RVs. Recreation opportunities in the area include fishing in nearby streams and horseback riding. Campers should follow pack-in/pack-out and Leave No Trace principles, keep pets leashed, and properly store food in accordance with Kootenai National Forest food storage orders.

Directions

From Highway 200, follow Beaver Creek Road 152 for approximately 9 miles to the campground.
