About

Ives Run Campground is a large Army Corps of Engineers facility located on the eastern shore of Hammond Lake in the Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania. The campground offers nearly 200 reservable campsites with options for electric-only, water and electric, or full hookups with sewer. Surrounded by lush forested ridges along the Allegheny Plateau, the facility sits within the Tioga-Hammond Lakes Project, which consists of two separate dams and reservoirs. The campground provides extensive amenities including hot showers, a swimming area with a grass beach and concrete bottom, playgrounds, sport fields, volleyball court, boat ramp, rental mooring slips, and a dump station. Five group picnic shelters are available for day use reservations. Four hiking trails of varying difficulty can be accessed from the facility, including a mile-long archery trail with targets and tree stands near the visitor center. Hammond Lake is known for excellent fishing, with anglers pursuing record crappie, giant musky, striped bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, and channel catfish. The surrounding hardwood forests attract hunters seeking both large and small game species. The scenic landscape of rolling mountains and open fields provides a pristine setting for outdoor recreation throughout the camping season.
