Open year-round, first-come, first-served. Sites fill quickly spring through fall, especially during Easter week, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Utah fall break in October. Maximum stay is 7 consecutive nights. Check-out is 10am.

Low-water crossings may be flooded. Island in the Sky Campground, also known as Willow Flat, sits atop the dramatic mesa that forms the northern district of Canyonlands National Park. The 12-site campground offers a quiet basecamp for exploring the spectacular overlooks and hiking trails in the area, with the Green River Overlook just a short drive away. The campground is primitive, with vault toilets and no potable water. Campers must bring their own water, though drinking water is available at the Island in the Sky Visitor Center during spring through fall. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. Wood fires are permitted in the grates, but wood gathering is prohibited within the park. Sites accommodate tents and RVs/trailers up to 28 feet. Maximum occupancy is 10 people and 2 vehicles per site. Quiet hours are 8pm to 8am, and generators may only be used from 8-10am and 4-8pm. One accessible campsite is reserved for visitors with disabilities.
Directions
Turn on UT-313, approximately 10 miles north of Moab or 22 miles south of I-70. Follow the road 22 miles to the entrance to Canyonlands National Park Island in the Sky district. Continue on the park road approximately 7 miles. Turn right toward Upheaval Dome and follow signs to the campground.
