About

Indian Springs State Park holds the distinction of being one of the oldest state parks in the nation, established around the natural mineral spring that Creek Indians believed had healing powers. The campground provides 86 tent, trailer, and RV sites spread through a wooded setting, with electric and water hookups available at standard sites. A central bathhouse offers hot showers and flush toilets, and a dump station serves RV campers. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring or grill. The park sits alongside 105-acre McIntosh Lake, where visitors can swim at the beach, fish for bass and catfish, or launch non-motorized boats. Sandy Creek provides a wading area for cooling off. A 3.25-mile multi-use trail connects to the adjacent Dauset Trails Nature Center, offering extended hiking and biking opportunities through diverse Georgia Piedmont habitats. Beyond camping, the park provides a playground, miniature golf course, and seasonal museum exploring the area's Native American and resort-era history. The historic Spring House remains a centerpiece where visitors can collect the distinctive sulfur-mineral water. Ten cottages and nine yurts offer alternative lodging, and a group camp accommodates up to 130 guests.
