About

The Indian Creek Falls Group Site is situated in the heart of the Indian Creek Corridor, one of the American Southwest's most spectacular landscapes within Bears Ears National Monument. The site occupies a small bowl just above the terrace of Indian Creek, offering groups an ideal base camp for exploring the area's world-class recreational opportunities. The Indian Creek area has gained international recognition for its extraordinary natural beauty and diverse recreational opportunities. The broad, gently rolling valley is bracketed by the dramatic sandstone cliffs of Harts Point to the northeast and Bridger Jack Mesa to the southwest, creating the classic western landscape that has attracted filmmakers producing major motion pictures and commercial advertisements. Visitors come from around the world to experience the area's renowned rock climbing, with hundreds of splitter cracks in Wingate Sandstone, as well as hiking, mountain biking, cultural resource viewing, OHV use, horseback riding, and scenic photography. The campground is located just 3 miles southeast of Canyonlands National Park's Needles District and 17 miles northwest of Newspaper Rock. Despite its proximity to these major attractions, the Indian Creek Corridor remains largely primitive and undeveloped, offering groups a genuine wilderness experience. The site can accommodate approximately 10 vehicles and provides basic amenities including picnic tables, a fire ring, and vault toilet, though campers must bring their own water.
