Creek Pasture Group Site
Open — Open year-round with advance reservations available through Recreation.gov. The campground operates in a desert environment with limited services.
About
Creek Pasture Group Site sits within the Creek Pasture Campground along Indian Creek in Bears Ears National Monument, offering groups a base camp in one of Utah's most spectacular desert landscapes. The site is located in a broad, gently rolling valley bracketed by towering sandstone cliffs of Harts Point to the northeast and Bridger Jack Mesa to the southwest, providing classic western panoramic vistas. The group site features tent and trailer space for approximately 20 vehicles (vehicle and trailer combinations count as two vehicles), picnic tables, a fire ring, a vault toilet, and a shade structure. No drinking water is provided, so visitors must bring their own. The Indian Creek area has gained international recognition for its extraordinary natural beauty and world-class rock climbing on Wingate sandstone cracks. The area offers abundant recreational opportunities including hiking, mountain biking, OHV use, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, cultural site exploration, and scenic photography. Located approximately 7.5 miles southeast of Canyonlands National Park's Needles District visitor center, Creek Pasture serves as an ideal base for exploring both the national park and Bears Ears National Monument. The Indian Creek area is generally primitive and undeveloped with limited services, so visitors should come prepared with adequate water and supplies. The area's classical western landscape has been featured in commercial advertisements and major motion pictures.
