At an elevation of 3,640 feet, this primitive site provides access to remote forest land without the crowds of developed campgrounds. The area is especially popular during hunting season, offering a base camp for those pursuing game in the surrounding wilderness. As a dispersed camping site, Huckleberry has no developed amenities. There are no restrooms, potable water, trash service, or other facilities. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, bringing their own water and packing out all trash. The site is free to use with no reservation system in place.
