About

Highway 7 Recreation Area is a day-use facility situated on a narrow, wooded peninsula adjacent to State Highway 7 along DeGray Lake in Clark County, Arkansas. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this scenic area provides two beach areas where visitors can swim and cool off during warm months, along with playground equipment for families. The facility features a reservable group use pavilion located at the end of the peninsula, equipped with electricity, tables, and grills, accommodating up to 50 people. Two restrooms serve the area, and numerous picnic sites are scattered throughout the tree-covered grounds. The area is notably home to many black squirrels. DeGray Lake encompasses 13,500 water acres with 207 miles of shoreline and hosts professional fishing tournaments and triathlons. The nearby DeGray Lake State Resort Park on the northern shores offers additional amenities including kayaking tours, golf, tennis courts, and horseback riding trails. Note that alcohol is prohibited at Highway 7 Recreation Area.
