About

Webb Memorial State Park is a 36-acre peninsula comprised of three connected drumlins reaching into Hingham Bay. The site has a rich history spanning Indigenous seasonal use, European agricultural development, industrial operations in the 1860s, and Cold War-era NIKE missile installations until 1977 when it transferred to Massachusetts for conversion to parkland. The park offers the Webb Pavilion, a group reservation site situated in a small field with views of the Weymouth Fore River. The pavilion features picnic tables, two charcoal grills, and convenient access to flush restrooms and drinking water. Groups can reserve the pavilion for special events from May through October via ReserveAmerica. Visitors enjoy several unimproved walking trails, picnic areas, and opportunities for fishing and kayaking. The park is notably dog-friendly with designated walking paths. Park hours are sunrise to sunset year-round. Note that this is a day-use facility; overnight camping is not available at Webb Memorial State Park. For camping in the Boston Harbor Islands area, Peddocks Island offers tent sites and yurts.
