About
Hacienda Campground sits in a forested setting along the North Fork Tuolumne River in Stanislaus National Forest. The campground occupies a shaded area near where Basin Creek meets the river, providing access to swimming and fishing opportunities. It is located adjacent to the private River Ranch Campground, which handles reservations and management for both facilities. This is a developed but rustic campground with vault toilets but no potable water; campers must treat or filter water from nearby sources. There is no garbage service, so visitors must pack out all trash following Leave No Trace principles. No RV hookups are available. Payment is by cash or check only. The campground is accessed via Cottonwood Road (Forest Road 1N04), approximately 4 miles east of Tuolumne City. The seasonal opening typically begins May 1. Reservations and availability inquiries should be directed to River Ranch Campgrounds.
