About
Fraser Flat Campground is a scenic forested campground situated along the South Fork Stanislaus River in Stanislaus National Forest. Located just 3 miles north of Highway 108 at the Spring Gap turnoff, the campground offers 38 sites with paved roads and parking pads, making it accessible for various camping setups. The campground is operated by Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort under a special use permit from the Forest Service. The campground features vault toilets and picnic tables at each site, with two ADA accessible campsites available. Anglers will appreciate the three fishing piers on the river, one of which is ADA accessible, providing excellent opportunities to fish for rainbow and brown trout. The surrounding area offers access to numerous Forest Service roads and trails for hiking and exploration. Fraser Flat operates on a first-come, first-served basis and does not accept reservations through Recreation.gov. The campground is open seasonally from April through October, with check-in at 2:00 p.m. and check-out at 12:00 p.m. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Each site accommodates up to six people, with a maximum stay of 14 days.
