About
Hull Creek Campground is a developed 23-site facility located in the Stanislaus National Forest, approximately 12 miles southeast of Long Barn on Forest Road 3N01. Situated at 4,500 feet elevation, the campground provides a secluded setting alongside a small stream and serves as a primary access point for the Hull Creek and Trout Creek OHV riding areas. The campground is particularly popular with off-highway vehicle enthusiasts, offering direct trail access to extensive riding opportunities that range from the campground elevation up to 7,600 feet at Bourland Mountain. The area receives heavy use during the operating season and features hand-pump drinking water, vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits at each site. Each site can accommodate up to six people and two vehicles, with a maximum RV length limit. The surrounding Stanislaus National Forest provides additional recreational opportunities including stream fishing, day hiking, and scenic viewing. The campground operates on a seasonal schedule due to winter snow conditions that typically block road access. Campers are required to practice Leave No Trace principles, and while campfire permits are recommended, they can be obtained free at preventwildfiresca.org.
