About

Located along scenic Granite Creek in the Sierra National Forest, this campground offers 20 campsites divided into two loops. Fir trees provide generous shade throughout the facility, creating a pleasant mountain camping experience. The campground is unique in its accommodation of both standard campers and equestrians. The lower loop is designated for traditional camping only, with horses not permitted. The upper loop is horse-friendly and includes corrals for overnight stock camping. All campsites come equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. Vault toilets serve both loops, though campers should note that potable water is not available and must be brought in. The remote location accessed via Forest Road 4S60 near Clover Meadow Station offers a quiet, lightly-used camping experience in the high country of the Sierra Nevada.

Directions

From Fresno take Highway 41 north to Road 200. Turn right and travel east to North Fork. Continue through North Fork to Minarets Road (Forest Road 81). The Clover Meadow Station is 52 miles from the Bass Lake Ranger District in North Fork, about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once at the ranger station, travel approximately 0.5 miles and turn right on Road 4S60. Continue 3.1 miles to the campground.
