About

Goose Creek/Lake Creek Camp is a primitive camping area situated in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests in Clearwater County, Idaho. The site is located in the mountainous terrain of north-central Idaho, an area characterized by dense coniferous forests, clear mountain streams, and abundant wildlife. This appears to be an undeveloped or minimally developed camping area typical of remote National Forest locations. The Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests offer extensive opportunities for dispersed camping throughout the region, with sites generally providing basic or no amenities. Campers in this area should be prepared for primitive conditions and self-sufficient backcountry camping.

Directions

Goose Creek Trail Camp and Goose Creek State Forest Campground are accessed from the same entrance, off Manistee River Road. To reach the campground, drive 5.5 miles west of Frederic via County Road 612 and Manistee River Road. You must drive through the Trail Camp to enter the State Forest Campground.
