About

Cedars Campground offers a quiet, riverside camping experience in the North Fork Clearwater Corridor of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. The campground's five developed sites sit at 3,800 feet elevation where the North Fork of the Clearwater River meets Long Creek, providing excellent opportunities for stream fishing and water-based recreation. The Idaho Centennial Trail passes by the campground, connecting campers to an extensive network of hiking and equestrian trails in the surrounding forest. Trout are abundant in the river and creek, making this a popular spot for anglers seeking a primitive backcountry experience. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out campground with no potable water, so visitors must bring their own drinking water and remove all trash. The campground is free to use and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations.
