Cedars Campground is a small, primitive camping area with five developed sites nestled along the North Fork of the Clearwater River and Long Creek in Idaho's Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. Located at 3,800 feet elevation, this quiet campground offers a peaceful riverside setting surrounded by forest. The campground provides access to a loop of the Idaho Centennial Trail that passes directly by the sites, making it a convenient base for hikers and equestrians exploring the North Fork Clearwater corridor. Anglers will find abundant trout fishing opportunities in both the North Fork of the Clearwater River and Long Creek. The area is accessible via French Mountain Road 250 from Pierce, Idaho. This is a no-fee, first-come-first-served campground with minimal amenities. Campers must pack in all supplies including drinking water and pack out all trash, as no services are provided. Vault toilets are available on-site. The rustic nature of the campground appeals to those seeking a more remote, self-sufficient camping experience.

Directions

From Pierce, Idaho, travel south on State Highway 11 for approximately one mile. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 250 (French Mountain Road) and follow it to the campground.
