About

Hidden Creek Campground is a small Forest Service campground tucked into old growth cedar forest along the North Fork of the Clearwater River in northwest Idaho. At 3,400 feet elevation, the site offers 13 individual campsites and one group tent camping pad, making it a favorite for visitors seeking an intimate setting surrounded by towering cedars and the sounds of the river. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump. Trash services are not available, so campers must pack out all garbage. Water is shut off after September 30 each year. The North Fork of the Clearwater River offers excellent fishing opportunities for trout, and several hiking trails are accessible from the area. Reaching Hidden Creek requires a drive on forest roads. From Superior, Montana, head southeast on Diamond Road toward River Street for 5.5 miles, then continue onto Forest Road 250 and drive southwest approximately 37 miles to the campground.
