About

Geneva Park Campground offers a cool mountain retreat at 9,813 feet elevation in the Pike National Forest. Located along the scenic Guanella Pass Byway, the campground features 26 sites set within a dense stand of lodgepole pines that provide privacy between sites, though mountain views are limited. Geneva Creek flows past the campground entrance, adding to the setting. The campground serves as a base for exploring Mount Evans Wilderness to the east. The Abyss Trailhead (Scott Gomer Trail) lies a short drive south, and Burning Bear Trail, excellent for hiking and horseback riding, is just 2 miles away. Four-wheel drive roads in the area offer additional recreation opportunities. Sites accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers up to 32 feet. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, dump station, or hookups. Maximum occupancy is 8 people, 2 tents, and 2 vehicles (or 1 RV) per site.

Directions

From Denver, travel south on Highway 285 through Pine Junction and Bailey. Continue on Highway 285 to the town of Grant, turn right on Park County Road 62 (Geneva Rd) and continue for approximately 5 miles. Make a left on Forest Road 119; the campground will be on your left.
