About
Finley Point Unit sits on the southeast shore of Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, surrounded by mature ponderosa pines that provide a secluded camping experience. The campground offers 18 RV campsites with 30-amp electric hookups (including one wheelchair-accessible site), 7 tent-only sites, 2 rental cabins, 4 boat camping slips with electricity, and 14 additional boat slips. Maximum RV/trailer length is 40 feet.
The park is located 12 miles north of Polson, making it convenient to access local amenities including golf, shopping, dining, entertainment, and museums in town. Lake activities are a highlight here, with swimming in Flathead Lake's clear waters and fishing for lake trout and lake superior whitefish drawing visitors throughout the season. The dock is typically usable from mid-June through early September.
Amenities include vault toilets, potable water (available mid-May through September), established fire pits, grills, trash service, and a boat launch. Bear activity in the area requires proper food storage in closed hard-sided containers or vehicles; tent campers without vehicles can use available food lockers.
