About
Eureka Valley Campground is situated along the banks of the Stanislaus River in the Stanislaus National Forest, 26 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station on Highway 108. The campground offers 28 camping sites, including two double sites and four walk-in sites for those seeking a more secluded experience. The main road and parking pads are dirt-surfaced, suitable for most vehicles. Water is available from three wells equipped with hand pumps. Vault toilets serve the campground. A trail next to the host site provides direct access to the Stanislaus River for fishing and water activities. This campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites cost $24 per night for single sites, with fees for extra vehicles. Interagency Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on single campsites. Due to the high elevation location on Highway 108, the campground is typically open from late May through October, closing for winter when Sonora Pass closes due to snow.
