About

Baker Campground is located in the Stanislaus National Forest, nestled in a mixed conifer forest along the scenic Stanislaus River. The campground sits at the junction of Highway 108 and Kennedy Meadow Road, approximately 29 miles east of Pinecrest. With 44 sites including a few double sites and 2 walk-in sites, it offers a range of camping options for visitors. The main road through the campground is paved while individual parking pads are dirt-surfaced. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Potable water is available from hydrants serving multiple sites throughout the campground. Vault toilets provide restroom facilities. The campground's location near Deadman Campground and Kennedy Meadow Trailhead makes it an excellent base for hiking into the Emigrant Wilderness. Kennedy Meadows Resort operates the facility under a special use permit from the Forest Service.
