Carpinteria State Beach Campground sits on the coastline 12 miles south of Santa Barbara, offering campers direct access to a wide sandy beach known for its gentle waves and tidepools. The campground is divided into four loops: Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and San Miguel. Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa loops feature premium beachside campsites with ocean views, while Santa Rosa Loop is the only area with full hookups (water, 30-amp electric, and sewer). Each campsite includes a fire ring (except San Miguel beach row) and a picnic table. The park provides restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers in each loop, drinking water, and an RV dump station. Multiple ADA-accessible campsites are available in all four loops, along with accessible restroom facilities. A beach wheelchair is available upon request. The park enforces seasonal stay limits: 7 consecutive days from March through November, and 15 consecutive days December through February, with a maximum of 30 days per calendar year. Dogs are allowed in the campground on a 6-foot leash but are not permitted on the beach. The nearby town of Carpinteria offers restaurants, shops, and the famous Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park.

From U.S. 101, take the Casitas Pass Road exit in Carpinteria. Turn toward the ocean onto Palm Avenue (Highway 224) and follow signs to Carpinteria State Beach.
