About

East Fork Baker Creek Campground is a primitive, non-fee campground located along the East Fork of Baker Creek in the Sawtooth National Forest's Ketchum Ranger District. This small campground features 7 campsites in a quiet, forested setting at approximately 7,000 feet elevation. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no camping fees. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. A vault toilet is provided for campers, though no potable water is available, so visitors must bring their own water supply. The campground accommodates both tent camping and smaller RVs that can navigate the 3-mile forest road access. Pack animals are permitted at this site. The location offers excellent opportunities for fishing in Baker Creek, mountain biking, day hiking, and backpacking into the surrounding national forest. The campground is accessible via Forest Road 162, located about 15 miles north of Ketchum on Highway 75. The site typically operates from June through November, closing for winter due to snow and road conditions.
