About
Dry Canyon Campground sits at approximately 6,000 feet elevation in the Bear River Range within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. This small campground offers three single-family sites, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. The setting features sparse trees and open terrain with limited shade, providing a peaceful and secluded retreat. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees required. Vault toilets are available from June through early September. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Trash service is not provided; pack-in, pack-out rules apply. The area offers opportunities for fishing, hunting, and hiking in the surrounding forest. Small trailers are welcome, though the dirt roads and parking areas may limit access for larger RVs.
Directions
From Weston, ID head west on ID-36 for 4.7 miles. Take a slight right onto Dry Canyon Road and go 1.1 miles. Campground is located at the end of the road.
