About

Dry Canyon Campground is nestled in a quiet hollow southeast of Malad City, Idaho, near Weston. Situated within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest's Montpelier Ranger District, this campground rests at an elevation of approximately 6,000 feet. Sparse trees and open terrain define this secluded spot, offering little shade but a peaceful retreat amid the rolling hills of the Bear River Range. The landscape whispers of solitude, with the faint rustle of grasses under the wide Idaho sky. The campground offers three single-family sites, each equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. The area invites fishing, hunting, and hiking, with trails threading through the nearby forest and streams promising quiet angling opportunities. The simplicity of the setting suits those seeking an unspoiled escape in the high country. This is a pack-in, pack-out campground with no water or trash service, requiring campers to be fully self-sufficient.
