About

Double Falls Campground is a primitive, no-fee campground situated in the Rocky Mountain Front portion of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The campground provides a rustic base for exploring the nearby Bob Marshall Wilderness and surrounding backcountry. Facilities are minimal, consisting only of vault toilets; campers must bring all their own drinking water. Bears are known to frequent this area, and mandatory food storage requirements are in effect. All food must be kept out of sight in approved bear-resistant containers, and food should be removed from the area immediately after eating. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis with no reservations and no fees. Access to Double Falls Campground depends on road conditions along Benchmark Road. The road may be impassable during winter and early spring due to snow. Campers should check current road conditions before traveling, especially in shoulder seasons.
