About

Dillon Creek Campground occupies a densely wooded setting in the Siskiyou Mountains where Dillon Creek meets the Klamath River corridor. The 21 campsites are carved into mountain slopes, providing natural shelter, shade, and privacy beneath a mixed canopy of hardwoods and conifers. A short walk from camp leads to one of northern California's most scenic natural swimming holes along the creek. The Klamath River, running alongside the campground, is renowned for salmon and steelhead fishing during fall and early winter months. Whitewater rafting, swimming, and non-motorized boating are popular warm-season activities. Hunting opportunities include blacktail deer, black bear, blue grouse, and quail. Nearby attractions include Frog Pond and scenic drives up the Salmon River Road to Nordheimer Flat. The campground has paved roads, vault toilets, and bear-proof garbage containers. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Potable water is not available; campers must bring their own supply. A campground host may be on-site. Maximum trailer length is 25 feet; the sites are not suited for large RVs.
