About
Diamondfield Jack Campground is a no-fee campground located at the terminus of a paved road in Rock Creek Canyon, managed by the Minidoka Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest. The campground accommodates tent camping, trailers, and motorhomes, with each site limited to two vehicles that must park on the gravel spurs provided. Amenities include potable drinking water from faucets, wheelchair-accessible vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, and fire rings. A warming shelter and dedicated parking area serve both campers and day visitors. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis with no reservations; campers can pay on-site using the Recreation.gov Scan and Pay feature via mobile app. The area functions as a winter play area from December through March. Nearby Pike Mountain Trail (#239) and Eagle Trail (#243) offer easy multi-use access for hiking and other recreation. Horses are prohibited in the campground, and stays are limited to 14 consecutive days within any 28-day period.
