The Rim Trail (T105) trailhead sits directly across from the campground entrance, offering immediate access to hiking. Wildlife viewing is a highlight, with the Lincoln National Forest supporting a substantial elk population. The campground also provides views of the White Sands National Park salt flats in the distance. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water from spigots, and a central trash collection point.
