About

Corner Lake Recreation Area is a primitive, first-come, first-served campground situated on the shore of Corner Lake, a 100-acre lake in the western unit of Hiawatha National Forest. The campground features 9 large wooded sites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The setting offers a quiet, natural experience for campers seeking solitude in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The lake itself is a draw for anglers and boaters, with motorized watercraft permitted. A sandy swimming beach provides a safe wading area particularly suited for young children. The surrounding forest also offers opportunities for backpacking and OHV access to nearby trails. This is a rustic campground with no restrooms or potable water on site. Campers must bring their own water supply and be prepared for primitive conditions. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through early September.
