Copper Creek Dispersed #3 is a dispersed camping area in the Pintler Ranger District of Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest in southwest Montana. Situated at approximately 5,500 feet elevation along Copper Creek near the Middle Fork of Rock Creek, this area provides primitive camping opportunities in a forested mountain setting. The nearby drainage is recognized for fishing access and provides a quieter alternative to developed campgrounds in the area. As dispersed camping, this site has no facilities or services. Campers must be fully self-sufficient and follow Leave No Trace principles. The area is subject to the forest-wide 16-day stay limit within any 30-day period and mandatory food storage order to prevent wildlife conflicts. Directions
From Philipsburg, travel south on Highway 1 for about 6.5 miles. Take Highway 38 west for 9 miles. Turn onto Middle Fork Road (Forest Road 5106) and continue approximately 10 miles to the campground.
