About
China Wall is a dispersed camping area situated in Pike National Forest near Lake George, Colorado. The area surrounds the China Wall OHV trail (Forest Road 212), a technical 3-mile out-and-back route known for challenging rock obstacles. Dispersed camping is available in designated areas around the trailhead, though camping is not permitted on the trail itself. The location provides access to the Tarryall Creek area and connects to the broader China Wall trail system including Box Road. Spruce Grove Campground, a developed facility, is located approximately 2 miles north. The area sits at elevations around 9,000 feet in a forested mountain setting, offering primitive camping for off-road enthusiasts and those seeking backcountry experiences in the Pike National Forest.
