About

Mill East Campground is situated in Pike National Forest, one of Colorado's most accessible national forests for Front Range residents. Located in Park County at approximately 9,000 feet elevation, the campground offers a mountain camping experience in the Pike National Forest, which encompasses over 1.1 million acres of the Rocky Mountains. The Pike National Forest is known for its proximity to Denver and Colorado Springs, making it a popular destination for weekend camping trips and outdoor recreation. The campground is managed by the U.S. Forest Service and operates seasonally during the warmer months when mountain access is possible. Like most Pike National Forest campgrounds at this elevation, winter access is limited or closed due to snow and weather conditions.
