About

Cheesequake State Park Campground sits at a rare ecological crossroads in central New Jersey, where the coastal pine barrens, freshwater and saltwater marshes, and hardwood forest all converge. This 50-site campground accommodates both tents and trailers, with each site equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Flush toilet and shower facilities are located within walking distance of the campsites, and a trailer sanitary (dump) station is available for RV campers. The park's location in Old Bridge Township provides easy access from the Garden State Parkway, making it one of the most accessible state park campgrounds for campers coming from the New York City metropolitan area. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31. Reservations can be made online at camping.nj.gov or by calling the park office. An 11-foot vehicle height restriction applies when entering the camping area. Pet-friendly campsites are available with an additional $5 per pet per night fee, and proof of rabies vaccination is required. The Gordon Field Group Area offers four separate sites that can each accommodate up to 25 campers, with fire rings, upright grills, picnic tables, flush toilets, and potable water. Note that RVs and trailers are not permitted at the group campsites.
